What stays with me is the contrast between a walkable river town, broad ranch country, restorative hot water, and a mountain pass that can change character quickly.
What stands out to me is the contrast. Downtown is walkable, with the San Juan River and hot springs close by. Just outside town the scenery opens into rolling hills, horse ranches, and larger-acreage properties. It feels peaceful without feeling isolated.
