Morning
Ride the Silver Queen Gondola to the summit of Aspen Mountain — 11,212 feet with panoramic views of the Elk Mountains. In winter, ski down; in summer, hike the nature deck trail.
Afternoon
Take the shuttle to Maroon Bells — Colorado's most photographed peaks — and hike Crater Lake Trail, then browse the Aspen Art Museum (free admission) and Main Street's galleries.
